Dentures

Dentures can replace an entire arch of teeth, providing complete restoration for patients who have experienced extensive tooth loss. Advancements in dental technology allow us to create dentures that offer increased comfort and stability, in addition to a more natural appearance. Dr. Hada offers traditional and implant-supported dentures, including snap-on dentures for mini implants. Implant-supported dentures provide increased security, allowing your dentures to function with the strength and stability of natural teeth.

Restore Your Smile with High-quality Dentures

103941503-xs Dentures can replace a full arch of upper or lower teeth. In addition to restoring a natural appearance, dentures can improve your ability to enunciate and chew. Dentures provided by Mission Viejo, CA, dentist Richard K. Hada are customized to provide you with maximum comfort, aesthetics, and functionality. Dr. Hada offers both traditional dentures and dental implant-supported dentures. Dental implants provide outstanding stability for dentures, preventing them from slipping out of place while you chew or speak. If you would like to learn more about how our dentures can restore your smile, schedule a consultation with Dr. Hada today.

Traditional Dentures

Traditional dentures consist of artificial teeth attached to an acrylic base. The denture is custom-designed for the patient, and may need to be adjusted periodically to maintain a comfortable fit. Traditional dentures are held in place by a combination of suction and a mild adhesive. If the patient only requires a partial denture, it can attach to adjacent teeth.

Benefits of Traditional Dentures

Thanks to advanced dental technology, Dr. Hada can create traditional dentures that:

  • Fill out the lower part of the face for a more natural-looking appearance
  • Allow you to enunciate properly, so your speech can be better understood
  • Allow you to chew

Traditional dentures can be an effective way to replace lost teeth, but it is important to understand that their functionality is only a fraction of what natural teeth or implant-supported dentures can provide.

Implant-supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are widely regarded as the best way to replace lost tooth roots, and the best means of supporting dentures. Dental implants are small titanium posts that are inserted in the jaw, where they integrate with the bone. Once this fusion is complete – usually after a period of about three to six months – the denture is attached to the implants to hold it firmly in place. Implant-supported dentures can eliminate the slippage and discomfort that some patients experience with traditional dentures. Dr. Hada is an expert in dental implant surgery, and he places both traditional implants and mini implants. Mini dental implants have a smaller diameter, and are often used for denture stabilization. Dr. Hada can design dentures to easily snap on and off of mini implants for cleaning.

Benefits of Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures:

  • Are vastly more stable than traditional dentures
  • Look and feel the most like your natural teeth
  • Allow you to eat any foods you like, including crisp fruit and juicy steaks, without worrying that your dentures will shift
  • Allow you to speak and smile with complete confidence

Another very important benefit of implant-supported dentures is that the implants can prevent the jaw atrophy (shrinkage) that occurs following tooth loss. Because implants help you retain bone tissue, you will need few, if any, adjustments to your dentures.
